Helix Electric of Nevada (Helix Electric) recently hosted their 3 rd Annual Charity Spring Golf Tournament, which successfully raised $45,000 for three local community organizations. Over 120 players participated in the event, including local businesses and Helix employees, who united to support the chosen charities: Reno Ice, Nevada Humane Society, and Washoe CASA Foundation. This year’s event was a huge success, with $15,000 set for donation to each organization.

Reno Ice is a non-profit organization operating the Jennifer M. O’Neal Community Ice Arena, which offers affordable ice-skating-related sports and recreation programs in Reno. They provide year-round activities, including hockey, figure skating, public skating, and private lessons, while also offering a scholarship program to ensure inclusivity. The Nevada Humane Society has been serving the Northern Nevada community for over 90 years, finding homes and providing care for over 18,000 homeless pets annually. Their life-saving mission prioritizes animal welfare, and they have successfully placed more than 140,000 animals into loving homes since 2007. The Washoe CASA Foundation supports the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) program, where dedicated community volunteers advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in courtrooms and communities.
