All proceeds directly benefit college-bound cancer survivors
RENO, Nev. – Max Results Reno is teaming up with My Hometown Heroes to present the inaugural Level Up Fitness Challenge, a dynamic and all-inclusive competition designed to engage fitness enthusiasts of all levels, from dedicated athletes to casual weekend warriors.
“This is a great opportunity to measure your fitness abilities within the community and be a motivator to ‘Level Up’ while aiding My Hometown Heroes’ mission of supporting college-bound cancer survivors,” said Max McManus, owner of Max Results and creator of the Level Up Fitness Challenge.
The Level Up Fitness Challenge kicked off on Friday, Oct. 20 and will run until Wednesday, Dec. 20, providing a 60-day window for participants to test their mettle. Participants can join the challenge with a $20 buy-in for their first attempt, and subsequent attempts are available for $10 — all proceeds directly to benefit My Hometown Heroes. Participants also have the flexibility to partake individually, with a partner or as a team.
Scoring is handicap-based and determined by the accumulation of repetitions added across five categories — the mile, flex ups, leg press, core and balance. Handicapping percentages are added to the final score to level the playing field. The Level Up Fitness Challenge welcomes participants aged 12 to 79.
Prizes will be awarded to participants achieving the highest score or repetitions in each category, as well as the top three overall scores after handicapping. Participants with a high enough score will walk away with a coveted medallion bracelet — there are eight tiers in the medal ranking, ranging from bronze to platinum plus.
