The academic year’s end puts new graduates into the job market amid high uncertainty and high anxiety. New college graduates have a higher unemployment rate than the national average (5.7% versus 4.3%). And though reports suggest the wider “hiring recession” is past, job candidates are seeking any possible edge.
So, the International School of Hospitality is touting the guest experience training it is offering.
The Art of Concierge will teach concierge competency’s five domains: communication; operational management; professionalism; perception and knowledge; and relationships. The Professional Presence in Hospitality program will teach confidence, composure and credibility — skills professionals will need to read rooms and lead teams.
Beyond these courses, the school will partner with Hozpitality.com and the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association to present a Hospitality Hiring Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 30 at the school.
