RENO, Nev. (March 22, 2024) – Jacobs Entertainment’s J Resort is excited to announce its partnership with Artown to curate an art collection as part of Reno’s annual art appreciation event, with an exhibit titled “OverGlow.” The curation will include art from local artists and will be displayed on J Resort’s 65 by 65 foot digital art wall, illuminating the Reno skyline and celebrating the local vibrant arts scene.

J Resort and Artown are now looking for artists in the Reno-Tahoe region for this digital video art exhibition. Selected artists will create new artwork to be presented at an official Artown event on Friday, July 26, 2024. 

 This digital art exhibition is a testament to J Resort’s unwavering commitment to Reno’s artistic identity. This project is open to all artists working or residing in the region. J Resort is searching for artists that utilize various digital art forms, including:

• Animation

• Stop motion

• Motion graphics

• Generative art

• Video art

• Any other digital art form pushing the boundaries of creativity

 The timeline for this project is as follows:

• March 22 – Application portal opens

• April 22 – Application deadline

• May 1 – Artists are notified 

• June 26 – Final art pieces must be submitted

• July 26 – Artown artist reception event hosted by J Resort
