How did you first get into your profession?
After working in healthcare finance, real estate and retail, I relocated to Vegas to work on-site at UC San Diego- Nevada Cancer Institute, as a business change consultant and managed their finance department out of bankruptcy. Over the course of a year, I designed an accounting system to efficiently and electronically store the records of over $45 million in operating A/P and A/R.
What business advice would you give someone just starting in your industry?
Keep all networking connections open and follow-up, as you never know where your next lead or partnership will turn up.
What was the toughest lesson you’ve learned in your career?
As an avid tennis player, I am hyper-analytical, and I had to learn when to turn it on and off depending on the project at hand.
What is a little known fact about yourself?
I am high energy and love entertaining. Not your typical bean counter!
