Junior Achievement Southern Nevada President and CEO Michelle Jackson (left) joined Cox Las Vegas Market Vice President Janet Uthman and Cox Business Vice President Steve Westerman to officially open Cox’s space as the cable/internet sponsor in the nonprofit’s Finance Park on April 8.
Students visiting Finance Park make financial decisions based on income, expenses, savings and credit for a fictional person through in-class learning and a hands-on budget program. The goal is for each to create a balanced budget with more than 26 categories involved in running a household.
The Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada Inspiration Center includes Betty’s JA BizTown and JA Finance Park and is located at 4440 E. Tropicana Avenue in Las Vegas.
