The Perseid meteor shower coincides with a new moon that will leave skies exceptionally dark for viewing. Visitors at Temple Bar can expect ideal conditions to witness one of the Northern Hemisphere’s most prolific meteor showers. Under similarly dark skies, observers often report seeing up to 90 meteors per hour. The Perseids are known for producing bright, colorful meteors that frequently leave glowing trails across the sky, creating a highly anticipated event for stargazers.
