The grand opening celebration of Southern Nevada’s first and only Ronald McDonald Family Room – providing families with a comfortable and supportive space to sleep, eat, rest and recharge – yet remain just steps away from their baby’s bedside in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

LAS VEGAS – Join Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas, McDonald’s Owner-Operators, Sunrise Children’s Hospital, and other community leaders as we cut the ribbon and welcome our first families into the Ronald McDonald Family Room.
Having a critically ill or injured child in the hospital puts an enormous emotional, physical, and financial strain on families. “The only thing on these parents’ minds is their child’s recovery, and they will often go days, even weeks, without a full night’s sleep or a healthy meal,” said Alyson McCarthy, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas. “This new Family Room will provide these families in crisis with a peaceful and supportive place to eat, sleep, shower, nap, and relax — away from the critical care environment, yet right down the hall from their baby’s bedside.”
