LAS VEGAS – March 18, 2025 – The Las Vegas Rescue Mission announced today the promotion of Alyson Martinez to the position of chief clinical officer. Martinez, who has been with the organization for seven years, previously served as program director and clinical director before stepping into this new role.
With 18 years of experience in the industry, Martinez has been instrumental in shaping the Rescue Mission’s recovery and shelter programming, developing policies and procedures, and implementing therapeutic interventions to serve the community’s most vulnerable populations. As chief clinical officer, she will oversee clinical supervision, mentor program supervisors, and secure funding opportunities to support mission services.
“The decision was easy to make in filling this position. Aly is beyond qualified for this role, and we are honored to have her continue serving many of the community’s most vulnerable,” said Heather Engle, CEO of the Las Vegas Rescue Mission. “Recovery and shelter programs are life-changing, and we know she is committed to expanding the extensive support to those in need.”
A dedicated advocate for addiction recovery and mental health, Martinez has built her career around supporting individuals on their path to healing. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services as well as a Master of Social Work degree, both from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Before joining Las Vegas Rescue Mission, she held leadership roles at WestCare Nevada, where she managed addiction treatment programs and reentry services. Martinez, a Las Vegas local, also serves as co-chair of There Is No Hero in Heroin and is an active member of the Southern Nevada Continuum of Care.
“I am eager to step into this role, advocating for and driving change to the programs and people who need it most,” Martinez said.

The Las Vegas Rescue Mission has been assisting homeless men, women and children in the community for 50 years. Since our beginning in 1970, the Rescue Mission has been providing meals, emergency shelter, recovery programs with addiction counseling and encouragement to help the low-income and homeless in our community. The nonprofit started with a small storefront building that included the chapel, kitchen and shelter which was able to house a few men. Today, the Mission campus which is located in Downtown Las Vegas, is helping hundreds of men, women and children daily, while providing approximately 30,000 meals each month.
