Lexicon Bank is proud to recognize Jewish Nevada as its latest Charity Spotlight, honoring the organization’s extraordinary impact on more than 70,000 Jewish residents across the Silver State and its broader service to the entire Nevada community.
As the central organization supporting Jewish life in Nevada, Jewish Nevada strengthens connections locally, in Israel, and around the world through community events, philanthropic funding, educational programming, and rapid crisis response. Rooted in the core Jewish values of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), Tzedakah (philanthropy), and G’milut Hasadim (acts of kindness), the organization works tirelessly to address the community’s most pressing challenges.
Jewish Nevada serves all Nevadans regardless of religion, providing vital services such as feeding the hungry, supporting the sick and elderly, educating youth, offering scholarships and grants, and partnering with local nonprofits that benefit thousands each year.
Through its dynamic divisions—including the Jewish Community Center, Camp J, Hillel of Las Vegas, Hillel of Northern Nevada, Young Leaders, Women’s Philanthropy, and its Men’s Division—the organization hosts hundreds of events annually. These programs create opportunities for community members to connect, network, volunteer, and build a stronger Nevada together.
In times of crisis, Jewish Nevada mobilizes rapidly to deliver meaningful aid and relief. The organization has provided shelter, clothing, food, and emergency assistance to victims of the Los Angeles wildfires, supported humanitarian efforts during the war in Ukraine, and responded to the October 7 attacks in Israel. Locally, Jewish Nevada also combats antisemitism through education initiatives like Student to Student, where Jewish teens share their stories in local schools to foster understanding and acceptance.
