Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties hosts water bottle drive to benefit the homelessBerkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties’ offices across Southern Nevada joined forces to donate nearly 30,000 water bottles to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission. The donation was part of a month-long water drive held across three offices, including Summerlin, Henderson and Southwest Las Vegas.
“Watching our team work together to exceed our goal of 20,000 bottles was a fantastic way to wrap up the summer,” said Troy Reierson, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties. “What I love most is that all the donations are going to a local cause, and seeing our agents rally behind it has been rewarding.”
Donating nearly 15,000 bottles, the Summerlin office took first place. The St. Rose and Southwest offices together contributed an additional 15,000 bottles, bringing the total donation close to 30,000 bottles.
“This summer has been the hottest on record in Las Vegas, and this initiative gave us the opportunity to make a difference,” said Kristen Makhathini, branch manager of the Summerlin Centre Campus. “We are always seeking ways to give back, and supporting local organizations like the Las Vegas Rescue Mission is something we hold close to our hearts. It’s important for us to show our gratitude to the community that continuously supports us.”
The Las Vegas Rescue Mission is a Las Vegas nonprofit organization that focuses on recovery, daily needs and shelter for those in need. LVRM serves approximately 30,000 meals each month and specializes in addiction recovery and providing educational opportunities.
“We want to extend a special thank you to Red Carpet Moving Company, who donated their truck and labor to transport all the water and Crazy Pita, who provided lunch to feed our agents and the moving crew,” said Reierson. “Their contributions helped make this drive an even bigger success.”
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties consistently supports local charities, including Opportunity Village, the American Cancer Society and Sunshine Kids through drives, donations and volunteer hours.
