LAS VEGAS and RENO, NEV. – The Nevada State Contractors Board (Board) elected Louis Polish, Jr. to serve as Chair for the 2026-2027 fiscal year during its June 23, 2026, Board Meeting. Polish succeeds outgoing Chair Kent Lay, who served in the leadership role throughout the 2025-2026 fiscal year.
Polish was first appointed to the Board on November 1, 2022.As Chair, he will help with carrying out its mission to protect the public.
“Mr. Polish being elected as Chair reflects the confidence the Board has in his knowledge, leadership, and dedication to Nevada’s construction industry,” said Interim Executive Officer Paul Rozario.“We appreciate Mr. Lay’s leadership and look forward to Mr. Polish building on that momentum.”
Polish is the owner of Alpha Landscapes LLC and brings more than 30 years of experience as a construction business owner.Throughout his career, he has been a strong advocate for Nevada’s construction industry.In addition to his service on the Board, Polish has served as President of the Nevada Subcontractors Association and has been a member of its Board of Directors since 2002.
