RENO, Nev. – Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit at Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) with amazing dining specials at Rim Asian Bistro and The Grand Buffet.
Rim Asian Bistro
To celebrate the lunar new year, Rim Asian Bistro guests can enjoy a special meal filled with exciting flavors.
A wild mushroom bao will be served as an amuse bouche followed by an appetizer course featuring Nori Goma Furikake seared tuna with cucumber, whipped avocado and shoyu. Next guests will savor a seafood soup with seared scallop and crabmeat.
For the main course, guests can enjoy one of three flavorful dishes: a steamed sea bass served with ginger soy sauce and long life noodles; a roasted honey duck with kailan, mushroom and a mandarin orange sauce; or a yuzu poached lobster tail served with braised bok choy, wild mushroom and black truffle miso butter.
End the night with a white chocolate mousse cake made with pistachio crumble and topped with pear mirin sauce, served alongside a raspberry sorbet.
This special menu will be available at Rim Asian Bistro from Friday, Jan. 20 through Sunday, Jan. 22 from 5 to 11 p.m. for $105 per person.
The Grand Buffet
Chinese New Year is grand at The Grand Buffet. Choose from favorites like tender roasted duck or Peking duck rolls. Or load a plate with fresh seafood like steamed clams in black bean sauce, soy ginger salmon, Shanghai shrimp stir fry or Chinese crispy lemon fish. Seafood lovers can also enjoy a poke station filled with top selections.
If you’re in the mood for something hearty, try the hoisin BBQ pork ribs, garlic five spice NY steak strip, whole roasted pig or bring the heat with Kung Pao chicken.
The Grand Buffet Chinese New Year special will be served from January 20 to 22 from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 4 to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Prices start at $35 per child and $55 per adult.
