LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas REALTORS® (LVR) announced today that it has hired experienced association executive Lynda Fernandez as its new CEO.
Fernandez is scheduled to start work at LVR on Jan. 5. She brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience to LVR, most recently working as CEO of the Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS® in White Plains, New York, the second largest real estate association in New York.
Before that, she served as CEO of the Greater Louisville Association of REALTORS® in Kentucky. That followed more than 16 years at the 60,000-member Miami Association of REALTORS®, where her roles included chief of communications and global and senior vice president of public relations and international. Earlier in her career, she spent more than five years working as public relations manager at the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
She has a degree in journalism and mass communications from Florida International University and a master’s degree in forensic accounting from Florida Atlantic University. Her real estate industry certifications include being a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), Certified Association Executive (CAE) and REALTOR® Association Certified Executive (RCE). She has won several industry awards, including four International Leadership Awards from the Greater Miami Chamber. She is fluent in Spanish and also has a working knowledge of French, Portuguese and Italian.
LVR selected Fernandez after a lengthy nationwide search that also involved detailed interviews and several forms of feedback from multiple members of LVR.
