(Las Vegas, Nev. – June 2, 2025) —The Mayor’s Fund for Las Vegas LIFE (Mayor’s Fund), a vehicle for the private sector to support key city initiatives that improve quality of life for City of Las Vegas residents with particular focus on vulnerable populations, announces two additions to its Advisory Committee: Sam Cherry, co-founder of Cherry Development; and Ken Heck, president of Heck Wealth Management.
Cherry, a 30-year resident of Las Vegas, primarily focuses on residential and commercial mixed-use, high-rise and mid-rise real estate projects with particular concentration in the downtown corridor. Cherry Development developed the first two residential mixed use high-rises, Soho Lofts and Newport lofts, in the City of Las Vegas. His “shareDOWNTOWN” mixed-use rental brand boasts two completed projects with a third underway in the Historic Westside.
Heck, who has worked in the wealth management industry for decades, now heads his own firm, Heck Wealth Management, a full-service wealth management company servicing high-net worth families, physicians and small business owners. He serves as president of the Economic Club of Las Vegas, a nonprofit non-partisan forum for economic conversation.
“Adding new vitality and energy to our advisory committee is always a plus,” said Sallie Doebler, CEO of the Mayor’s Fund for Las Vegas LIFE. “We welcome Sam and Ken to this important and diverse committee to advise the Mayor’s Fund board of directors and leadership on priority funding challenges and opportunities in the City of Las Vegas that improve quality of life for our most vulnerable residents.”
