(Las Vegas, Nev. – April 25, 2025) —The Mayor’s Fund for Las Vegas LIFE (Mayor’s Fund), a vehicle for the private sector to support key city initiatives that improve quality of life for City of Las Vegas residents with particular focus on vulnerable populations, announces two changes to its board of directors: Will Rucker has been named vice chair, and Jonathan Jossel joins the board as its newest member.
Rucker, who joined the Mayor’s Fund board in 2023, serves as Director of Community Health – Nevada for Intermountain Health. He leads initiatives for the company that prioritize health equity and improve health outcomes in Southern Nevada. He also operates a speaking and coaching business, fostering inclusivity and compassion through values-based leadership. As the host of “Compassionate Las Vegas—the Podcast” and “A Healthier Tomorrow” radio program, he addresses crucial health and wellness topics. Rucker is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Health at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, focusing on social determinants of health.
Jossel, who is CEO of the Plaza Hotel & Casino, has successfully rebuilt the Plaza’s brand, reinvigorating the property’s atmosphere and adding vibrancy to downtown Las Vegas. Most recently, he completed the Main Street Reimagination, a multi-million-dollar project that has transformed the Plaza’s iconic entrance at the western end of Fremont Street with new energy. He and his family live and work downtown and are committed to playing an active role in ensuring downtown Las Vegas continues to grow and thrive as one of our region’s important economic engines.
