Nevada HAND has promoted Megan Schimick to chief financial officer. In 2016 Schimick was recruited as controller to the nonprofit real estate development and property management company that has built and currently manages 31 affordable family, senior, and assisted living apartment communities throughout the Las Vegas metropolitan area.

Schimick has more than 17 years of accounting and finance experience. Prior to joining Nevada HAND, she was a partner with Eide Bailly LLP, one of the top 25 certified public accounting firms in the nation, where she oversaw the Las Vegas tax department. She began her career with Kafoury, Armstrong & Co., which became part of Eide Bailly in December 2014.
Schimick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a major emphasis in accounting from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a Master of Science degree in taxation from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. She is a certified public accountant licensed in Nevada.
