LAS VEGAS – NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, recently honored the NAIOP Southern Nevada Chapter with Chapter Merit Awards (CMAs) for volunteer of the year, education, special event and chapter of the year.
Cassie Catania-Hsu, NAIOP Southern Nevada’s 2024 president, earned an award for “Chapter Volunteer of the Year,” recognizing her exceptional efforts and contributions to the organization. Catania-Hsu’s award recognized her “incredible work ethic and commitment” and added that she “has proven integral to the chapter’s success, as well as to the local commercial real estate community.”
The “Education Award” celebrates chapters that organize exceptional programs, series, events or seminars with educational content. NAIOP Southern Nevada was recognized for its Developing Organizational Leadership Institute (DOLI). In its infancy, the program’s main objectives include creating a cohort of diverse commercial real estate professionals, while providing class participants with advanced and accelerated information about the chapter and NAIOP corporate, as well as providing core development in leadership concepts, including leadership styles, avoiding burnout, time management and productivity tools, and exposure to personality and communication styles.
The ”Special Events Award” celebrates chapters that have planned and executed exceptional and unique chapter events. NAIOP Southern Nevada was recognized for its annual “Spotlight Awards,” now in its 27th year honoring top local commercial real estate professionals and businesses for their achievements, projects and deals during the prior year.
The “Chapter of the Year Award” recognizes chapters for overall excellence throughout the year, including involvement with NAIOP corporate, chapter growth, civic service and more. According to the award, NAIOP Southern Nevada “demonstrated an unyielding dedication to providing value for NAIOP members at every level, while staying relevant.” This is the third consecutive year NAIOP Southern Nevada has been honored with this distinction in the “large chapter” category.
