LAS VEGAS – NAIOP Southern Nevada, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association for the Las Vegas area, has named Jamie Schwartz as its full-time executive director.
“We are excited to introduce Jamie in this newly defined executive director role, created to support the chapter’s evolving needs and long-term objectives. With a strong background relevant to so many of our members and a proven ability to lead, Jamie will work in partnership with our board of directors and president to advance strategic initiatives and elevate the chapter’s presence in government affairs and advocacy,” said Steve Neiger, 2026 chapter president.
Schwartz will work closely with longtime NAIOP Southern Nevada Chapter Executive Katrina Bruce, who has run the local chapter’s operations for 36 years. Her team at Alternative Management will continue to support the chapter in the coming years.
“This is a significant move for both Jamie and NAIOP,” Bruce said. “I’m looking forward to her leadership as we work together to shape the future evolution of the chapter.”
Schwartz joins NAIOP from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), where she was the director of business and industry engagement for the UNLV Office of Economic Development.
She brings to her new role extensive experience working closely with developers, investors, local governments, universities and other diverse stakeholders to align private capital with community and business economic development objectives. The longtime Las Vegan has successfully helped position Southern Nevada competitively within the broader commercial real estate and development markets.
She is a graduate of UNLV, where she also earned a master’s degree in business and finance. She has also served on the board of directors for SafeNest, a local organization dedicated to ending domestic and sexual violence.
