‘Then, Now and the Future of End-of-Life Care’
Nathan Adelson Hospice, the leader in hospice and palliative care in southern Nevada, will host its 20th Annual Multicultural Conference and Luncheon on Thursday, March 28. This year’s theme is titled: “Then, Now and the Future of End-of-Life Care.”
Each year, Nathan Adelson Hospice provides this forum to unite and educate people from various cultures and beliefs on end-of-life care tailored to their needs. This year’s conference will focus on discussions around the development of hospice and how the healthcare community can make a difference for the future.
“Our annual Multicultural event aims to educate the community and healthcare professionals about ways to positively impact the end-of-life journey for everyone,” said Karen Rubel, President and CEO of Nathan Adelson Hospice. “As we look to the future of hospice care and how the industry will adapt, we hope to bring encouraging conversation and solutions to industry stakeholders.”
This year’s keynote speaker is Linn Billingsley, VP of Operations at Kindred Healthcare. Billingsley will cover key topics surrounding the past, present and future of end-of-life care. In addition, Celena DiLullo, President at Palm Mortuaries and Cemeteries will receive the ‘Cassondra Cotton Diversity in Action Award’ for her commitment to the spirit of diversity and increasing awareness of end-of-life care by improving access, resources and outreach to diverse populations.
Tickets are $90 per person for the luncheon only, $130 for access to the luncheon and morning conference sessions. Three CEU’s are pending for LPN, RN and social work.
Morning sessions will begin at 8 a.m. and the luncheon featuring keynote speaker Billingsley will run 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
