RENO, NEV. – Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NCET) has a new home base. Capitalizing on a shared desire to serve entrepreneurs with the most cutting-edge programs and events, NCET is partnering with the University of Nevada, Reno Innevation Center to cultivate a one-stop location for Northern Nevada’s dynamic business landscape.
The partnership is part of NCET’s larger strategy to invigorate the region for startups and industrialists, a place where ideas take flight. In addition to naming the Innevation Center as its new home, NCET recently named Ira M. Gostin as the new President and CEO of the organization.
“The Innevation Center and NCET are a natural fit,” Gostin, who also serves as the Innevation Center’s marketing strategist in residence, said, “Partnering with this incredible organization allows our members and guests unprecedented access to collaborative coworking space, mentorship opportunities and is an important bridge to the University of Nevada. It’s one more way NCET enriches our community of makers, entrepreneurs, founders, business owners and others who move the needle in the business ecosystem.”
The Innevation Center will serve as the primary site for all of NCET’s programming, with a centralized location and focus on driving the business community. The Innevation Center business manager, Ania Aloia, said she’s thrilled with the new collaboration.
“Our organization is all about sharing knowledge and resources, so this partnership nexus with NCET will further both our organizations’ missions in powerful, meaningful ways,” Aloia said.
Beginning in September, NCET’s full complement of programming, including the flagship Biz Bites lunch/lecture program, will be housed at the Innevation Center, located at 450 Sinclair Street in downtown Reno.
