September 10, 2025 – RENO, Nev. – Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NCET) changed the structure of its Board of Directors, moving to a fully volunteer model. The organization previously had a single paid administrator position, but the board will now assume those responsibilities.
Under the new model, the Board will be led by an administrative team consisting of a president, vice president, treasurer and secretary. The Board elected Jacob Arroyo as president of NCET, and Brandon App as the vice president. Mark Leonard and Isabella Peek were reelected to serve as treasurer and secretary respectively.
The Board also voted to change the titles of other board members from vice president to director. Interim CEO, Ira M. Gostin will be stepping down from his current role effective immediately and will work with the transition team to hand off the organization to Arroyo during the remainder of September.
“For NCET to provide valuable programming and resources in our community, we needed to really look at the organization holistically to determine the best path forward. The answer that the board created is to retire the paid administrator and allow the Board to run the organization,” said Gostin.
“I am honored to be elected to lead an organization with such a long history and worthy mission in our community,” said Arroyo. “Our Northern Nevada business community has passion, interest and enthusiasm for entrepreneurial, tech and start-up initiatives. With this team, we will strive to provide world-class content that is highly relevant to our audience.” Arroyo is a Financial Advisor with Greater Nevada Financial Services.
