NCLab, a Nevada-headquartered data analyst, Python programmer, and automation technician career training company, welcomes Mary Woods to its team as its Business Development Director. This is a new position which expands NCLab’s capacity to connect with employers and provide solutions to the pressing challenges organizations face today.
As Business Development Director, Mary will work with Nevada employers who are struggling to find competent qualified computer programmers, data analysts, and automation technicians and provide reassuring solutions through a pipeline of job-ready NCLab graduates. Mary will help employers know how they can use NCLab resources to upskill their current employees. In response to demand, using the tools from NCLab, Mary will help employers know which applicants can learn new skills; show up for work on time; communicate professionally; problem-solve; think logically; pay attention to detail; and persevere.
Her work will include outreach to Nevada manufacturers to connect them with soon-to-be graduates from NCLab’s Automation Technician pre-apprentice program, a training program which was created as part of a manufacturing recruitment initiative comprised of Manufacture Nevada, Governor’s Office of Workforce Innovation, Nevada manufacturers, Nevada Libraries, and NCLab.
Mary has extensive experience in senior capacities in a variety of sectors to include: Nevada state government, higher education, tourism, healthcare, and finance. Most recently Mary was involved in workforce development within the Nevada library system.
Mary received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from Southern Illinois University, and her Masters of Education degree from Northern Arizona University. Mary and her husband have four children and have lived in Nevada for over 20 years.
Mary is based in Northern Nevada but will travel throughout the state to meet with employers.
