LAS VEGAS— Nevada Donor Network hosted its annual Inspire Hope event in Downtown Las Vegas on Aug. 19, raising more than $800,000 to support its mission to maximize the gift of life and health through organ, eye and tissue donation.
Attendees enjoyed a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, an epicurean-style dinner, live performance installations and a groovy afterparty. Entertainment for the evening included performances from the Spiegelworld legend “Absinthe,” Christian Stoinev and his dog Scooby, David Perrico String Quartet, Red Penny Arcade, ambient performers and Volki Kalfaya the Gazillionaire as the auctioneer for the evening. During the event, Palm Mortuary was honored with the “Life Award.”
Inspire Hope is an important annual event for Nevada Donor Network as it helps raise awareness for organ, eye and tissue donation. Funds raised at Inspire Hope will go towards Nevada Donor Network Foundation’s “End the Wait” campaign, a capital campaign aimed at raising $35 million to expand transplantation capabilities in the State of Nevada through the Nevada Transplant Institute.
Through the Nevada Transplant Institute, Nevada residents would no longer have to seek life-saving care in surrounding states; they would be able to be evaluated, transplanted, and cared for locally while bringing hope to the 635 local Nevadans currently waiting for a lifesaving transplant.

About Nevada Donor Network
Nevada Donor Network is a federally designated 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organ procurement organization (OPO) committed to maximizing the gift of life and health through organ and tissue donation. Established in 1987, Nevada Donor Network is one of only 57 OPOs in the U.S. serving more than three million people in the state of Nevada and 110,000 potential transplant recipients across the country. They work collaboratively with hospital staff and community partners to promote research and provide a strong support network to courageous
donor families who’ve turned loss into hope. At Nevada Donor Network, they encourage Nevadans to help individuals in need of life-saving transplants through education, research and action. Nevada Donor Network is a member of Donate Life Nevada, an affiliate of Donate Life America, whose state-wide efforts encourage Nevadans to register as organ, eye and tissue donors.
