LAS VEGAS – Nevada Heart & Vascular Center has joined HealtHIE Nevada, Nevada’s only statewide open health information exchange, to streamline the ability for patients to share important imaging results with physicians, hospitals, labs, and other healthcare organizations electronically statewide.
The network facilitates the ability for providers and facilities to update patient records and exchange key clinical information in real time across a secure platform. Providers at Nevada Heart & Vascular also have enhanced access to timely, comprehensive patient information that supports better care coordination, reduces duplication of services, and helps improve patient outcomes.

Hundreds of providers across the state participate in the health information exchange, including large acute care hospitals, rural critical access hospitals and cardiac care centers, along with primary care physician practices. It also includes local government public health districts and interfaces with several other health information and health plan exchanges across the country.
