Leading Nevada HOA management company, CAMCO, took time to celebrate the accomplishments of its valued team members. Held annually, the employee awards luncheon celebrates and thanks CAMCO’s 90 employees for their hard work, while recognizing nine employees who excelled in their roles in 2023.
“This event reminds me of how lucky we are. CAMCO has been around for nearly 25 years. Some employees have been with us just shy of 20 years and about 20 percent of our staff is new,” said Joel Just, CAMCO’s CEO. “As one of the largest management companies in Nevada, we have a great mix of young energy and a depth of knowledge in our company.”
This year’s award honorees included:
· Supervisor in the Spotlight – Doree Seaver (Regional Director)
This award recognized those who oversee community managers. Seaver runs CAMCO’s North Las Vegas office, and “oversees a very strong group of managers, retains many accounts, and is well respected for her work,” Just said.
· Employee of the Year – Alicia Mason, (CAM)
The 2023 Employee of the Year honor spotlighted a strong community manager who has now been promoted to regional vice president to train other managers. “Alicia is a long-time successful manager; the industry needs more people like her,” the CAMCO CEO added.
· Manager of the Year – Vanessa Stoltenberg (CMCA, AMS)
This honor recognizes community managers for strong relationships with the many communities they oversee. “Vanessa is someone who is well-respected and has done an exceptional job in a role where sometimes people see you as the bad guy,” Just noted.
· Rising Star Manager – Jennifer Cano (Community Manager)
This award went to a person who is relatively new to the company. Cano has calmly handled communities dealing with property damages and insurance claims. “Jennifer has been able to manage her communities through crisis and remains composed even in stressful situations,” Just added.
· President’s Award – MaryAnn Hubbard (CFO)
This year’s President’s Award honored Hubbard for taking over CAMCO’s accounting department, hiring new staff, and tackling high workloads. “Even under pressure, she has done an extraordinary job making sure our associations’ financials are done accurately and correctly,” Just said.
· Administrative Assistant of the Year – Veronica Palafox (Administrator)
After a long tenure with CAMCO, Palafox was recently promoted to a management role, overseeing other assistants, who are a critical support to community managers. “She’s always happy to help and brings tons of knowledge,” Just added.
· Client Services Representative of the Year – William Fletcher
Fletcher was honored for his consistently positive attitude and ability to handle a wide range of homeowner requests and concerns. “It takes a rare talent to do this job and we’re lucky to have him, and others. Our team is among the best in the market,” Just noted.
· Scan Team Rising Star – Rosanna Hart
This honor went to Hart for tackling the difficult task of digitizing HOA historic documents for clients. “She has been a hard worker and a joy around the office every day. She comes in and attacks the day, and that’s why she’s successful,” Just said.
