The Nevada Office of Traffic Safety released its February 2026 Statewide Fatal Report, and the numbers are lower compared to this time last year. In February 2026, 25 lives were claimed on Nevada’s roadways compared to 32 in February 2025, marking a 21.88% decrease. So far in 2026, there have been 54 road fatalities in Nevada, marking a decrease of 23.94%. This reduction reflects fewer fatalities than the same time last year and continued efforts by Nevadans to prioritize safer roads statewide. The work continues because every life matters, and together Nevadans can make 2026 even safer.
As St. Patrick’s Day and March Madness festivities approach, the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety encourages Nevadans to arrange safe transportation before celebrating and to prioritize safe driving habits year-round to prevent deaths and injuries on the roadways.
Attached is the state’s February 2026 Fatal Report in full. Please note that this report is a point in time comparison. 2026 data is preliminary and does not necessarily include final reports (Form 5, Coroner, and/or Toxicology reports). 2026 data will not be final until early 2028.
