The Nevada Office of Traffic Safety released its June 2026 Statewide Fatal Report, and the numbers have decreased compared to this time last year. In June 2026, 25 lives were claimed on Nevada’s roadways compared to 34 in June 2025, marking a 26.47% decrease. So far in 2026, there have been 167 road fatalities in Nevada, marking a decrease of 16.5%. While Nevada has seen a decline in traffic fatalities compared to this time last year, preventable crashes continue to claim lives and underscore the need for ongoing education, enforcement and responsible driving behaviors across the state.
As travel continues throughout the remainder of the summer, the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety encourages all road users to make safety a priority by planning ahead, avoiding impaired or distracted driving, obeying speed limits and staying alert behind the wheel. Every safe driving decision helps protect lives and keep Nevada’s roadways safer for everyone.
Attached is the state’s June Fatal Report in full. Please note that this report is a point in time comparison. 2026 data is preliminary and does not necessarily include final reports (Form 5, Coroner, and/or Toxicology reports). 2026 data will not be final until early 2028.
