The Nevada Office of Traffic Safety released its March 2026 Statewide Fatal Report, and the numbers are lower compared to this time last year. In March 2026, 23 lives were claimed on Nevada’s roadways compared to 29 in March 2025, marking a 20.69% decrease. So far in 2026, there have been 78 road fatalities in Nevada, marking a decrease of 22.00%. This decrease marks a reduction in fatalities compared to the same time last year and highlights the ongoing commitment of Nevadans to making roadways safer across the state. While this progress is encouraging, the work is far from over. Every life matters, and together, Nevadans can make 2026 even safer.
As National Distracted Driving Awareness Month begins, the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety urges Nevadans to plan ahead for safe transportation and to practice responsible driving habits not just this month, but year-round, to help prevent roadway injuries and fatalities.
Attached is the state’s March 2026 Fatal Report in full. Please note that this report is a point in time comparison. 2026 data is preliminary and does not necessarily include final reports (Form 5, Coroner, and/or Toxicology reports). 2026 data will not be final until early 2028.
