The Nevada State University Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded in 2000, is dedicated to building philanthropic relationships that ensure a lasting legacy of support and success for Nevada State University.
Most recently, the Foundation became the first member of Nevada State University’s Starting Lineup Booster Club by pledging a donation of $50,000 in support of the University’s efforts to start its inaugural athletics programs, Women’s Flag Football and Men’s Track and Field. These are two popular and growing sports in the region that are not currently offered at the collegiate level in Nevada.
In addition to supporting athletics, the Foundation will continue the critical work of providing scholarships ensuring that Nevada State students can keep their focus on academics.
Also on the horizon, the Foundation will celebrate its 25th anniversary on May 17.
The Foundation’s board consists of local visionaries and prominent education advocates from across the Southern Nevada region. Two of its newest members to join the board include Craig Kirkland, Executive Vice President of Retail Banking at Nevada State Bank, and Stacy Watkins, President and CEO of Lexicon Bank.
