The Nevada Treasury, and their generous community partners, are excited to host a Back To School Fair at Rancho High School on Friday, August 2 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. This free community event will provide back-to-school essentials and other resources to help students get ready for the upcoming school year.
“We want to be able to give students and their families the resources they need in order to have a successful school year,” said Dr. Tya Mathis-Coleman, Deputy Treasurer, College Savings, Nevada Treasury. “In addition to providing students with essential back-to-school supplies, students will also have the opportunity to access needed services all in one place, such as free immunizations, vision screenings, and haircuts.”
Students will have the chance to receive a free backpack and lunchbox, while supplies last. Families can also enjoy free face painting, games, ice cream, and giveaways. Additionally, over $1,000 in prizes will be raffled off, making it a fun and rewarding experience as they prepare their children for the upcoming school year. Information about 529 college savings accounts will also be provided, helping parents understand how to start saving for their child’s future education.
