RENO, Nev. – The 2024 Nevada Women’s Fund (NWF) board of directors announces the selection of executive officers and names five new board members to the organization charged with championing the needs of local women pursuing higher education. Since 1983, the NWF has awarded over $9.4 million in academic scholarships and community grants for women and families throughout Northern Nevada.
Executive officers serving a one-year term include board chair Jen Eastwood, director of public relations at Good Giant; vice-chair Danielle Eaton, interim executive director at Sierra Veterans Research & Education Foundation; treasurer Craig Wesner, retired civil engineer; recorder Amber Maraccini, principal CX advisor at Medallia; and immediate past chair Jill Johnson, director of development and communications at Bishop Manogue Catholic High School.
The five new members to NWF’s board of directors are Cari Blomquist, vice president of Core Game Studio at IGT; Katie Coleman, director of communications at Nevada Rural Housing; Joey Ganser, principal of engineering at PK Electrical; Lisa Harrison, Realtor at Dickson Realty; and Tiffany McMacken, principal and founder of The Willow Group.
All members of the board serve staggered six-year terms. Additional current board members include:
Amanda Alfaro, owner and managing broker of Ferrari Lund Real Estate; Andi Cassinari, anchor/reporter for 2News; Angela Bradley, VP – small business team lead at Nevada State Bank; Ben Calingaert, CPA and shareholder at Persing Professional Group; Candace Borrego, senior vice president, corporate banking group at U.S. Bank; Courtney Sweet, attorney at law with Gunderson Law Firm; Cynthia Osborn, chief operating officer at AssuredPartners of Nevada; Erica Mirich, principal at PIVOT Creative and Consulting; Frankie Vigil, business development manager at Lumos & Associates; Gretchen Sawyer, executive director of the TMCC Foundation; Kara Harris, assistant vice president of business banking at First Independent Bank; Kara Martinezmoles, vice president of operation at Hometown Health; Kelly Corrigan, director of marketing and runner and sponsor relations at Reno Running Company; Kendra Jepsen, partner at Jepsen & McMenomy; Laura Nelson, senior audit manager at Eide Bailly; Nicola Neilon, CPA/shareholder Casey Neilon; Norma Seltz, higher education/marriage and family therapist; Olivia Baugh, M.D., internist and medical director at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center; Pam Czyz, community supporter; Randy Brown, commissioner of Public Utilities Commission of Nevada; Sarah Sommers, vice president of human resources and training at Elemental LED, Inc.; and Viki A. Windfeldt, executive director of Nevada State Board of Accountancy.
The role of the board is to provide support and direction to the organization. In addition, board members serve as representatives on five working committees including allocations, board leadership, events, finance & investments and marketing.
