RENO, Nev. — Nevada Women’s Fund (NWF) is thrilled to present their premier shopping and socializing event, Power of the Purse, on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Downtown Reno Ballroom. The NWF is seeking event sponsors and local vendors to help continue the annual tradition of sipping, shopping and supporting the organization’s mission to empower achievement in women and families.
The event can accommodate more than 40 local vendors, who will have access to nearly 1,000 guests at the highly anticipated “girls night out.” A kick off to the holiday season, vendors can showcase a wide range of wares, including artisan jewelry, handcrafted art pieces, home decor, clothing and accessories, children’s items, health and beauty products and much more.
“This year we are expanding the number of vendors to create an improved experience for vendors and shoppers alike,” said Marge Millar, NWF Director of Operations and Events. “We carefully select our vendors through an application process to provide a wider variety of products, and thereby give each vendor a greater share of the customer base.”
Booth spaces start at $150 and applications are due by Sept. 15.
In addition to local vendors, Power of the Purse is made possible through contributions by generous sponsors. Event sponsorships range from $1,000–$2,500 and include VIP tickets and extensive marketing opportunities prior to and during the event that provide access to the NWF’s legacy of local supporters.
“Power of the Purse has become a holiday tradition in Northern Nevada that we as an organization love to host each year,” said Ila Achtabowski, NWF President and CEO. “Not only does the money go to support a great cause, it’s an opportunity for the Nevada Women’s Fund to share our mission with an audience we might not otherwise reach.”
