LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Aug. 26, 2025) – The Urban Land Institute (ULI) Nevada has opened nominations for the 2025 Placemaking Awards for Excellence, honoring outstanding projects and developments across Nevada that demonstrate innovation, quality and lasting impact in the built environment resulting in a transformative difference in the community.
Nominations may be submitted no later than 5pm on Sept. 12, 2025. Nomination information and forms can be found at ULI Nevada Placemaking Awards for Excellence.
The prestigious awards recognize projects that set the standard for excellence and best practices in planning, design, construction, management, financial viability and sustainability. Winners represent the highest achievements in the land use profession, encompassing a variety of land uses, sizes, investments and geographic locations.
Award Categories include:
· Catalytic Place – Celebrating places that best generate improvement and progress to the economic development and/or standard of living in a surrounding community
· Transformative Place – Recognizing places that have reshaped their areas through exceptional design.
· Community Place – Recognizing places that best engage and strengthen the community/neighborhood through opportunities to assemble, unite or celebrate.
· Healthy Place – Acknowledging places that promote activity and social interaction through accessible, health-focused design.
· Visionary Place – Honoring the vision for places currently under development that promise significant lifestyle and regional impact.
The awards are open to real estate developments and projects throughout Nevada, with entries evaluated by a six-member jury of independent judges with real estate and land use expertise from both local and national communities.
“Each year, the Placemaking Awards showcase how thoughtful planning and exceptional design can transform communities,” said Mark Fine, longtime Southern Nevada developer and founding member of ULI Nevada. “These projects demonstrate the power of collaboration and vision in shaping vibrant, sustainable places.”
Winners will be announced at the 5th Annual ULI Nevada Placemaking Awards for Excellence event on November 19, 2025.
