Prize Amounts Increased for Washoe and Clark County Teachers Dedicated to Education
De Castroverde Law Group, a personal injury and immigration law firm with offices in Reno and Las Vegas, is proud to announce the nominations are open for this year’s Teacher Appreciation Awards in Washoe and Clark Counties. De Castroverde has increased the prize amounts from previous years to give more funds to Nevada educators.
Nominations are open until May 13, 2024. The Teacher Appreciation Awards started in Clark County in 2017, and De Castroverde expanded the awards to Washoe County in 2023.
“We are always striving to provide more resources to our state’s educators,” said Orlando De Castroverde, founder of De Castroverde Law Group. “After growing our awards to include Washoe County last year, we wanted to keep that momentum. We are thrilled to offer greater prize amounts to our winners this year.”
There are three prize recipients in each county for a total of six winners. The prizes for each county include:

Grand Prize: $1000 for school supplies + $250 Amazon Gift Card

Second Place: $750 for school supplies + $200 Amazon Gift Card

Honorary Mention: $500 for school supplies + $100 Amazon Gift Card

The Teacher Appreciation Awards were created to support and prioritize the crucial impact teachers have on our community and the younger generations.
