On Feb. 26, players from the National Rugby League (NRL) made an epic arrival at Grand Canyon West’s legendary Skywalk, soaring over the iconic landscape in Papillon Helicopters and Papillon Planes as part of the promotional tour for Rugby League Las Vegas 2025.
The group included Penrith Panthers player Scott Sorensen, Canberra Raiders player Jamal Fogarty, Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks player Billy Burns and New Zealand Warriors player Jackson Ford. Dressed in their official game uniforms, the athletes took in the breathtaking views from the Skywalk, a glass bridge that extends 70 feet out over the canyon’s rim, 4,000 feet above the Colorado River.
The visit highlights the NRL’s commitment to expanding rugby league’s presence in the United States, building momentum ahead of this year’s highly anticipated Rugby League Las Vegas matches on Saturday, March 1 at Allegiant Stadium.
