The Board of Regents is pleased to announce that Mark W. Doubrava, M.D. and Jason Geddes, Ph.D. have been awarded Regent Emeritus status by the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) Board of Regents. Both Doubrava and Geddes served as members of the Board of Regents until 2022. Emeritus status recognizes their distinguished service to NSHE and commitment to Nevada.
“It is our esteemed honor to bestow Regent Emeritus status to both Mark Doubrava and Jason Geddes,” said Byron Brooks, Board of Regents chair. “Mark joined NSHE in 2011 and served for 12 years as the representative of District 7, and Jason joined in 2006 and served District 11 for 16 years. Both Mark and Jason are true community leaders and deserve to be recognized for their commitment to Nevada and the impact they had on the communities they served.”
Emeritus status can only be granted to former regents who served a minimum of 12 years. The status recognizes their lengthy service to NSHE as well as their dedication to undertake two elections or retention by the electorate after appointment to office.
