Office Depot® and Domtar, in partnership with the Public Education Foundation, surprised teachers from Sunrise Acres Elementary School today with an exclusive in-store shopping event at the Office Depot® OfficeMax® store on Eastern Avenue in Las Vegas.
The event, valued at $10,000, gave educators the opportunity to shop for essential school and classroom supplies to help them prepare for the upcoming academic year. In addition, an extra $10,000 merchandise credit was donated to the Public Education Foundation to support teachers at other schools across the Clark County School District.
As part of Office Depot’s Start Proud!® program, this initiative aims to reduce out-of-pocket expenses for teachers while creating vibrant and efficient learning environments for students. Nationwide, nearly 1,000 teachers across ten schools will benefit from a series of surprise exclusive shopping events facilitated in partnership with local education foundations.
Local Impact
At today’s event, Sunrise Acres Elementary educators expressed excitement and gratitude as they selected classroom essentials ranging from notebooks and pens to organizational tools and technology accessories.
