Las Vegas, NV – Beneath the Nevada night sky, Olive Crest’s Champions of Children event on September 26 brought together community leaders, philanthropists, and supporters for an unforgettable evening of celebration and generosity at the Danoski Family Ranch.
The event honored Erin J. Anderson, President and CEO of the A. Gary Anderson Family Foundation, with the Generational Impact Award for her extraordinary legacy of support for children and families. Erin’s connection to Olive Crest spans three decades and includes a transformational lead gift of $2.5 million to the Vegas Cares About Kids campaign.
“I believe every child deserves to feel safe, loved, and supported—especially those who have faced abuse, neglect, or unimaginable hardship,” said Erin J. Anderson. “Olive Crest is changing that story every single day. They are not just giving children shelter; they are giving them a future.”
The evening also celebrated the belated 50th birthday of Amber Danoski, who, alongside her husband, Shawn Danoski, and the DC Building Group, graciously hosted the event. Their hospitality and commitment to protecting kids helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere filled with gourmet bites from Echo & Rig and other local favorites, artisan blacksmithing, live music, cocktails, cotton candy, popcorn, and a spirited silent auction.
“Shawn and I are committed to the mission of Olive Crest,” said Amber Danoski. “We believe that kids thrive in safe, loving homes, and parents gain confidence when someone believes in them and walks alongside them to grow. Olive Crest equips families across Las Vegas with the tools to make those safe, loving homes a reality for every child.”
Olive Crest also recognized its Trailblazer Sponsors—Dri Tech, Richard & Bella Yukes, and Bombard Mechanical—whose support helped raise over $215,000 to benefit children and families in Southern Nevada.
“Erin, Shawn, Amber, and our Trailblazer Sponsors exemplify what it means to be champions for children and families,” said Jimmy Monaghan, Executive Director of Olive Crest. “Their generosity, leadership, and heartfelt commitment created a night of celebration with lasting impact—and we are deeply grateful for their partnership in strengthening families, so kids are safe.”
Together, these honorees helped Olive Crest shine a light on the urgent needs of struggling children and families, ensuring the event’s impact will be felt for generations to come.
