LAS VEGAS (April 11, 2023) – Olive Crest in Nevada will host its annual “Power of One” luncheon on Friday, April 14 at the Ahern Hotel in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month.
The luncheon is held to both create awareness of the plight of child abuse and neglect in Clark County, as well as raise important funds for Olive Crest in its efforts to help families stop the cycle of poverty, despair and potential violence.
Funds raised at the “Power of One” luncheon will go to Olive Crest’s Child Abuse Prevention Programs and its Teen and Young Adult life enhancement program. The “Power of One” luncheon provides the opportunity to become involved in Olive Crest’s Kids at Heart program, in which sponsors give a monthly gift to help bring safety, love and hope to vulnerable and hurting children every day. Kids at Heart monthly donations provide children and families with much-needed transportation, counseling, parenting education and other critical support resources to help children heal and thrive.
This year’s Presenting Sponsor at the “Power of One” luncheon is DC Building Group, which since 2001 has been one of the largest locally owned general contracting firms in Las Vegas. DC serves many sectors of the community, including office, retail, industrial, hospitality, restaurant, religious, nonprofit, aviation and education.

The “Power of One” luncheon will begin at 11:30 am on April 14 and will include a musical performance by local guitarist Shawn Eiferman. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best blue in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month. There will also be drawings for amazing prizes.
