On July 23, 2024, Assistance League of Las Vegas presented Olympia Companies Charitable Foundation Executive Director Angela Rock with the National Operation School Bell® Award in recognition of the more than $1 million donated by the foundation to the local Operation School Bell program to date.
Operation School Bell is Assistance League of Las Vegas’ signature community program that provides local students in need with the opportunity to come to the Chapter’s “store” and pick out a week’s worth of brand-new clothing. Students are identified by their school counselors.
The award ceremony happened as the foundation off dropped off boxes of brand-new school supplies collected during a back-to-school supply drive.
Since 2005, Olympia Companies Charitable Foundation has given $1,278,325 to the all-volunteer nonprofit to help clothe local students through Operation School Bell.
“We are in awe of the Olympia Companies Charitable Foundation’s dedication to positively impacting the lives of local children,” said Sylvie Courtemarsh, Assistance League of Las Vegas President. “Their continued generosity for Operation School Bell ensures that we can provide more than 5,000 students every year the shirts, pants, jackets, socks, shoes, school supplies and other necessities they need to succeed in school.”
