Sierra Nevada REALTORS®, the leading Realtors® Association in Northern Nevada, has announced they have raised more than $36,500 from their 20th Annual Alyce McCracken Golf Tournament fundraiser. The funds will go towards supporting Northern Nevada’s youth through college scholarships across 22 schools in our community. This is the largest amount of money raised in the 20 years of the tournament.
We are proud that we have been able to continue this golf tournament in honor of Alyce McCracken as a newly restructured association,” said Christie Fernquest, Co-President of Sierra Nevada Realtors. “Coming together as Realtors with our industry affiliates and giving back to the community is what we love to do. We aim to continue raising money for student scholarships with this annual fundraiser.”
The Alyce McCracken Golf Tournament is named in honor of Northern Nevada Realtor Alyce McCracken, who was passionate about supporting education and job training in the community. Originally from Las Vegas, she moved to Carson City in 1973. She was a Sierra Nevada REALTORS® President from 1993 to 1994 and named Realtor® of the Year in 1995. From 1989 to 1995, she was a recipient of the Realtors® Circle of Honor. The Alyce McCracken Memorial Fund was set up by the Sierra Nevada REALTORS® in 1996.
