LAS VEGAS – As part of its ongoing commitment to job site safety, The PENTA Building Group is hosting its Eighth Annual Safety Kick-Off Meeting on Jan.15, 2015, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the Palace Station Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
The firm’s safety kick-off provides employees, subcontractors and other partners with an in-depth look at the company’s safety goals and initiatives for 2015.
“Our safety team works hard to put this together each year,” said PENTA Corporate Safety Director Rodd Weber. “The event focuses on promoting an exceptional attitude and approach to job site safety.”
During the event, PENTA will publicly recognize employees and partners who maintained a steadfast dedication to safety in 2014.
The event will also feature a presentation by motivational speaker Roger Crawford on achieving excellence. Crawford’s “I Can” messages draws upon his own life lessons as a hall of fame athlete with a physical disability affecting all four limbs.
“Roger’s story is incredible,” Weber said. “The ‘I Can’ takeaway resonates with our approach to safety excellence.”
PENTA’s commitment to safety extends beyond this meeting. Each quarter, PENTA shuts down its job sites for an hour each quarter to discuss safety issues. The firm also requires each of its field employees to complete 10 hours of Occupational Safety and Health Administration safety training.
