RENO, Nev. — The Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum (The Discovery) is entering the holiday season on a high note, celebrating the success of Peppermill Reno’s 8th annual Pie It Forward Bake Sale, which raised $9,590 for the museum on Sunday, Nov. 18.
Peppermill Reno’s patrons demonstrated their giving spirit by purchasing freshly baked pumpkin pies for $7, with 100% of the proceeds directly benefiting The Discovery. These funds will play a pivotal role in supporting The Discovery’s educational programs, exhibitions and outreach initiatives, ensuring learners of all ages and backgrounds continue to receive access to engaging STEM experiences.
“The Discovery is honored to have been chosen as the beneficiary of this year’s Pie It Forward Bake Sale,” said Patrick Turner, Chief Advancement Officer of The Discovery. “Generosity from businesses like the Peppermill play a large role in the museum’s ability to grow and to bring our community ever-changing ways to experience science.”
This contribution from Peppermill Reno underscores the significance of local partnerships in fulfilling the museum’s mission to connect a curious public with scientific inquiry. The Discovery remains committed to fostering collaborative relationships that empower innovation and accessibility for science exploration.
