HENDERSON, Nev (May 26, 2026) – Primak Construction Group (PCG), a leading Arizona-based commercial and industrial contractor, is contributing key structural and building envelope components for the new West Henderson Fieldhouse, a 135,000-square-foot community indoor athletic and activity center currently under construction in Henderson, Nevada.
PCG is serving as a design-build partner to Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, the construction manager for the project. The progressive Southern Nevada city is investing in the all-new facility as part of its commitment to delivering high-value recreational amenities to residents.
The multi-story complex will feature a 91,000-square-foot clear-span fieldhouse designed to accommodate basketball, volleyball and indoor soccer, along with a 47,400-square-foot, two-story activity center including dining and bar service, bowling, aerobics studios, arcade, laser tag, fitness and weight rooms, and event and party spaces. The project, located in Henderson, Nevada, represents a significant addition to the region’s recreational infrastructure.
PCG was initially approached by Whiting-Turner to provide early conceptual pricing support during the design-build pursuit phase. Over a 10-month period, PCG delivered extensive design-assist services, working closely with the construction manager and full design team to help develop the project’s structural systems. Midway through the design process, PCG proposed converting the two-story portion of the facility from conventional steel to a pre-engineered steel system, delivering significant cost savings to the overall building envelope while maintaining design intent and performance standards. The strategic shift helped strengthen the overall project proposal and ultimately led to PCG being awarded the work.

PCG’s scope of work includes providing the building shell, consisting of structural steel, miscellaneous steel, roofing systems, insulated metal panel (IMP) siding, and full erection services. The insulated wall panels feature an intricate checkerboard façade design, adding architectural interest to the exterior envelope. Last month, construction hit a major milestone with the completion of the steel frame topping off the two-story structure.
Inside the facility, the expansive clear-span fieldhouse area is engineered to support multiple sporting event configurations. Portions of the two-story activity center were designed with enhanced structural support to minimize vibration caused by rhythmic activities such as aerobics – an important performance consideration for multi-use recreation facilities.
PCG’s portion of the project spans approximately six months, with exterior metal panels currently being erected on site.
With construction estimated for completion this Fall 2026, the West Henderson Fieldhouse will serve as a year-round hub for youth sports, community programming, tournaments and family entertainment – further enhancing Henderson’s reputation as a city focused on livability and economic vitality.
