Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada Launch New Memorial Website

LAS VEGAS- The Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada (PFFN) are pleased to announce the completion of their new Nevada Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial website. The new website features information regarding the memorial. Visitors are able to look up fallen fire fighters as well as legacy members. This search tool serves to honor the memory of the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect their fellow Nevadans. “We are excited to introduce our news to the public,” said Angelo Aragon, president of Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada. “We are working hard to bring this memorial to fruition which will honor men and women on the site.” To date, Nevada has lost seventy- seven fire fighters in the line of duty. In 2017, the PFFN were recipients of land located on the grounds of the Capital Complex in Carson City. In May of 2019, PFFN broke ground on the memorial, artist Austin Weishel has been commissioned to create bronze fire fighter statues to represent the spectrum of firefighting ranging from wildland fire fighters to volunteer fire fighter.
