LAS VEGAS – Project 150’s Las Vegas Prom Closet returns on Saturday, March 4, for high school students planning to attend their school’s prom. Now in its 12th year, the event ensures that more than 1,500 students look and feel like royalty when attending their prom.
Local high school students can expect to find name brand new and like-new formal wear in a variety of styles and colors, including a wide variety of dresses, suits and tuxedos, plus accessories like, shoes, handbags, jewelry, belts and more, all for free.
“This event makes going to prom a possibility for so many students in Southern Nevada who would otherwise not have this opportunity,” said Kelli Kristo, Project 150 executive director. “The quality of our formal wear truly leaves students looking great and feeling amazing. Of course, this event wouldn’t be possible without the continued support we receive from people and businesses throughout our community. We appreciate the generosity of everyone who helps us make these prom dreams come true for these deserving local students.”
This year’s prom closet will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 505 E. Capovilla Ave., Suite 101, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89119. Students must register in advance online for an appointment time, and a student ID is required. Limited spots are available for the event.
Project 150 will also have a limited supply of dresses and suits available at its Betty’s Boutique location at 3600 N. Rancho Road the week of March 6.

Project 150 is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization, founded in December 2011 by local businessmen Don Purdue and Patrick Spargur. The two heard about 150 homeless high school students at Rancho High School in Las Vegas who were in need of support over the Christmas break.
