LAS VEGAS – Project 150, a local nonprofit that helps homeless, displaced and disadvantaged high students, is offering scholarships for local students to attend a Nevada college, university or accredited vocational training institute. The scholarship application deadline is April 15.
“As students finally reach that goal of graduating high school, we want them to know the journey has just begun,” said Kelli Kristo, Project 150’s executive director. “We hope the scholarship opportunity helps them pursue higher or vocational education that opens a path to a successful future.”
Scholarship award levels range from $1,000 to $4,000 per student. Local high school, college and trade students (such as cosmetology, medical or dental, HVAC or electrical) are encouraged to apply if they meet the requirements.
Scholarship interviews are scheduled to take place May 19 and 20. Scholarship award notifications will be sent by June 3 via email.
Project 150 will hold a celebratory scholarship awards luncheon on June 22 at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino.

The two had heard about 150 homeless high school students at Rancho High School in Las Vegas who were in need of support over the Christmas break.
