Las Vegas, Nevada – At a recent ceremony as part of the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) Conference on Architecture, held in San Francisco, R. Brandon Sprague, FAIA received elevation into the AIA College of Fellows.
Presented with this distinction and medal at a ceremony at Moscone Center, R. Brandon Sprague, FAIA is the only Nevada architect to receive national recognition along with 75 other individuals from across the country. The AIA national fellowship program elevates architects who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession and made a significant contribution to architecture and society nationally.
R. Brandon Sprague, FAIA was elevated based on his legacy that strengthens society and supports equality through leadership and action, enriches civic, cultural and educational realms through thoughtful design, and guides non-profit organizations to envision brighter futures for them and those they serve. Sprague has built a practice that cares—and demonstrates it in each project he undertakes. His portfolio reflects meaningful results that level the playing field for at-risk youth, raises people’s standards of living and builds pride for marginalized groups.
Significant project contributions by Sprague spans the country. In Las Vegas he designed the Wetlands Park Nature Center, Science and Engineering Building at UNLV, the Desert Sage School, and Nevada SPCA Animal Shelter.
Dedicated to the community throughout his career, Sprague served the City of Las Vegas as a member of the Citizen Advisory Committee for the Redevelopment Agency, as a member of the Downtown Centennial Plan Zoning Update Stakeholder Committee, member of the UNLV Downtown Design Center Advisory Board, and is a graduate of the City of Henderson Leadership Class.
