The Rainbow Club Casino is pleased to announce the promotion of longtime member Jeff Lackey to executive chef. Lackey has worked his way up to this role, starting as a dishwasher nearly 20 years ago at the Rainbow Club Casino’s then-restaurant, Images.
“I’m so excited to see Jeff in this new role, which he’s been training to take on for years,” said Tim Brooks, general manager of Emerald Island and Rainbow Club Casinos. “Jeff has been part of the Rainbow Club Casino for more than a decade and knows what our patrons like and want more of. I’m confident he will continue to create menus centered around the comfort food that gravitates people to us.”
Lackey’s previous job titles during his Rainbow Club Casino tenure include prep cook, second cook, line cook, kitchen porter, and assistant chef. He had worked previously in two other kitchens and been in the construction industry. He won first place in the Thrill of the Grill BBQ Competition and is a longtime Nevada resident.
When he’s not working, Lackey enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking and camping, and spending time with his fiancé Taylor, and four children.
